Ode to August...so far.

Well, I don't want to get too "thanky-thanky" and "I'm seriously so blessed" but I do have to say that the month of August has been especially fabulous for me. Despite some mild bladder incontinence and rapid weight gain (if I don't deliver a 40 pound baby I'm going to be upset), there have been so many amazing things that have made August great! Here's just a few.....

1. The Olympics.... a.k.a. Mikey Phelps

2. Chris won 100 bucks and a carrying case for his golf shoes in a tournament!!
(unfortunately I don't have an actual picture of him golfing, but here's a representation)

3. A pretty cool job with nonverbal patients.

4. Another book about sparkly vampires and their cute (kind of creepy, but cute) offspring.

5. A slow news month. (Actual story in SL Trib)

"Researcher says Bigfoot just a rubber gorilla suit"

Well, if that doesn't add up to a good month, I don't know what does! See you next time.

Something New

I guess it's about time that I post something new. I knew when I started this that it would be a hit-or-miss thing but I would really like to make an effort to stay within the blogging world so I'll try to stay more up to date. We have had a very busy month consisting of 2 trips to Washington and a lot of long hours spent at work. Most recently I just returned from Basin City after attending my 10 year high school reunion. This was actually pretty fun. It was fun to see people I havn't seen in 10 years and catch up with what everyone's been up to. I guess I shouldn't have been suprized because I went to high school with a lot of really great people, but everyone was very nice and friendly. People generally ignored the "groups" they were a part of in high school and were genuinely interested in what everyone else's life is like now. I think coming from a small town, we all have some basic connection that is bonding and it's interesting to see how people's lives have developed. Here's a pic of me and my best HS girlfriends.

We also took our annual trip to Priest Lake in July and that is always one of the highlights of the year for us.

One more thing... We went to the Dr this afternoon and it looks like baby girl is coming along just fine. She has a strong heart beat and is measuring one week ahead of schedule! I love her already!
